Editing Our Video
When we had finished our video, it meant we could experiment with the editing. When it came to editing the artists i chose to use a like tint with the artist who sings the chorus. However, on the main artist i chose to use a darker colours this was the show the difference between them both. The locations of them both were also different as the main artist was in a car and filmed by a fence whereas the other artist was filmed on a bench in a park. I think think this was effective as the locations fit in with our genre well.
Editing
Where in the original video the artists were filmed together. I could see this was a good idea, however this was different to ours as both our artists were filmed in seperate places. To make this work and show they did the song together we decided to change the opacity of the shots and put them on top of one another so the audience saw them at the same time. I think doing this improved our video alot as is made looked more like a music video of two people instead of showing two seperate artists.
Our New Idea
As our previous idea for our video had not worked out we had to think of something new. We knew we still wanted to focus on holding on within our video but it was just putting it across we were a bit stuck on.
We found the video by 'Kylie Minogue - Especially For You', its from a different genre however we liked the idea that was used in the video. We really liked the idea of planning to meet and missing eachother and thought it would would well in our work.

Artist in our video
Finding someone to be the artist in our video was really hard because noone wanted to be filmed. Then lewis in our class agreed to do it. He fits into our genre as he is mixed race and he knew what body language to use in the video. He also likes this genre of music which helped him get into the role of the artist. We printed the words off for him so he could learn them for us. However, when it came to the actual filming he didnt feel like he knew the words properly and didnt want to do it anymore. After this happened we realised we had picked a really hard song to create our own video to as the words were quite fast and hard to say in the song. We had to ask lots of other people to see if they would do it, but we couldnt find anyone. When we finially did find someone who agreed to do it, we only had a couple of days for them to learn the words but again, when it came to filming they didnt think they could say the words fast enough because they didnt have very long to learn them.
